Lots of things around us are changing and unexpectedly it forces us to step out from our comfort zone. It feels challenging, annoying or uncertain but this is how we grow through challenges and it mostly our mind create these stories that makes the roadblocks harder and bigger on our path.
In relation to our limited social interactions, the ONLINE world become more open, accessible and various with all the courses, trainings, meetings. The same has happened to Yoga. To keep the practice alive I teach Yoga online. Imagine or remind yourself yoga class that you used to go to. Im sure you can remember nice space, calm music, and this most important element of it, the time you had only for yourself, physically and mentally. To move it all to your home can be challenging but with a bit of effort it will work, sometimes better than in yoga studio. Your home becomes your yoga studio for the time of yoga practice.
- Prepare your device with zoom app., have your device charged, check internet connection, make sure you will be able to see and hear yoga teacher from your device ( bigger screen on tv or laptop to see better and headphone, speakers to hear better.)
- Prepare your yoga space. Choose comfortable room, with enough floor space to be able to lie down. Make sure you will have at least 1 hour for yourself only. Set your lights or play quiet music you like.
- Home practice is more distracting unless you will have self discipline and stay focus from start till the end of class. It is easy to just walk away to the other room but its up to you to continue it.
- Invite family members to the practice but make sure all of you have space for it.
See you on the mat !!!
